A short account of the details you hand us when you call or fill in the form, why we hold them, and who they reach.

Booking a technician means telling us a few things about yourself and your door. The table below lists each of them, the reason we need it, and the people who end up seeing it. There is nothing on the list that we sell, trade or hand to an advertiser.
| Detail | Why we ask for it | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Your name | So the callback and the technician's visit are addressed to the right person. | Our booking desk and the technician assigned to you. |
| Phone number | To ring you back, confirm the window and let the technician say they are on the way. | Booking desk, the technician. Our phone system also stores the number you dialled from. |
| ZIP code or address | To send a technician who covers your part of Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Dripping Springs and Bastrop, and to know which city's rules apply. | Booking desk, the technician. |
| What the door is doing, plus the details box | So the right springs, cables or opener parts are on the truck when it arrives. | Booking desk, the technician. |
| A recording of the call | Calls may be recorded after the notice you hear at the start, so your details are written down correctly. | Booking desk only, and only to check the booking. |
| Visit counts | To learn which pages people read. The counter is cookieless and builds no profile of you. | Nobody as an individual; the figures are totals. |
How long it stays with us
Job notes live as long as a warranty or a tax record could need them, and then they go. Once your job is closed, a single email to hello@austingaragedoortech.com is enough to have your name and number removed from the booking records; we keep the job itself only as a dated line without your contact details.
What you can ask for
At any point you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by writing to the address above. If you would rather the call were not recorded, say so when the greeting ends and the recording stops. This site is written for adults arranging work on their own homes; we do not set out to collect anything from anyone under eighteen, and if we learn we have, we erase it.
